* Do you have any ideas to attract and keep youth in the Syracuse area? I work diligently to create more jobs and job opportunities, such as the sale of the land to Wal-Mart in Cicero which created hundreds of jobs for Central New Yorkers.

* Where do you see the community and yourself In the next 10 years? I see our community bigger, brighter, and better than ever. I see myself with everlasting happiness and Carella Real Estate to growing and prospering.

* Who has been the most influential person in your career? My husband, Joseph Carella.

* What are your guiding principles in life? Strong, solid faith. "It's not what happens to you in life, it's how you handle it."

* What has been your best career decision? Becoming a real estate broker, believing in the possibility, and opening up my own real estate company.

* How has your life turned out differently than you imagined? My parents' death in my 20s devastated me to the core. The strength, faith, love, hard work, determination, work ethic, and their career commitment to the greater good are a few traits that I learned from them both. They are very proud of me; that I know.

* What is one of your quirks? When driving over a railroad track, I raise my feet, touch glass, and make a wish.

* What are the core values that have been essential to your success? Honesty, competency, and clarity. Handshakes and honesty.
